CURRENT INFORMATION
We have moved to a new location! We moved to our new address, 7400 District Boulevard Suite A, atthe end of July. We are excited about this location because it will provide us with the opportunity to service our customers better. The lighting, space, restroom facilities, warehouse, parking, and more are going to really enhance the comfort level for us and yourself. We even have a larger area for group parties and a small kitchen area as well. Come see us and check out our great inventory.

HISTORY
Bead and Yarn Studio originally opened as Bead Connection in 1994. The shop is currently in its 14th year of service, four years which have been at 7701 White Lane Suite B in Bakersfield California. In the last 2 years, many changes have taken place. The name changed from Bead Connection to Bead & Yarn Studio, when the yarn was added, 2 years ago. The combination of the two skills/crafts has taken a lot of hard work and dedication from friends, family, employees, and customers.
Since the change in ownership, there have been many opportunities to enhance the studio’s comfort with more seating and work space. The cozy library area can be used to research a range of current books, projects, and patterns. We are bringing to the studio, more ideas, fresh/colorful new yarns and beads. We are learning new things everyday while visiting yarn shows and bead vendors throughout California. Our goal is to continue to have merchandise you will enjoy, with quality that you won’t find here in Bakersfield or within Southern California. Customers always comment about selection and quantity of items they can choose from in both yarns and beading supplies. We have customers who drive from the coast, Fresno, and Los Angeles areas to purchase their favorite items. We currently have over 120 different colors of Cascade 220 yarn along with a growing assortment of other yarns to choose from. Our beads don’t stop at just Japanese seed beads, Swarvoski crystals, fresh water pearls, semi-precious stones. We have much more exciting inventory. Hopefully, you will experience the pride in customer service, expertise and our FREE bead, knitting, and crochet classes.

From Fresno, go south on HWY99, Rt. on White Lane (about 5 miles) until you get to Gosford Road. Turn South on Gosford Road, 2 blocks-at the next light turn east on District Boulevard.
